Are you finding yourself running out of ways to handle your difficult adolescent?
- Do you find yourself, more times than not, punishing your teenager instead of celebrating his or her accomplishments?
- Do you feel as if your adolescent is running the show in your house?
- Have you found that the school counselor has done all he or she can?
- Are you looking for new ways to encourage your adolescent to reach his or her highest potential?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, a new parent support and educational group may be the answer. Often the focus on working with a difficult adolescent is that the services are targeted toward the youngster. The role and importance of the parent/caregiver is often ignored or minimized. This support group presents the opportunity to gather with other parents/caregivers who are experiencing similar situations. The group will offer support as well as various tools to help take back control and put your teenager on the path to success.
This will be a weekly group held on Thursday evenings and/or Saturday mornings. The cost will be $40.00 per week. The group will be limited in size, so registration will be on a first come basis.
The group will be held in a private office either in Rockville Centre or Northport.
